Glass Heart: Far From the “Worst Part”
Song Review: The Worst Part of Me by Glass Heart

Welsh post hardcore/alternative band, Glass Heart, are stretching their wings and vocals in their newest release, “The Worst Part of Me”. The title hints at heavy guitar riffs and blaring “belghs”, but surprisingly delivers a slow deep melody that builds, reminiscent of “Just Pretend” by Bad Omens or “Dark Signs” by Sleep Token.
Adamross Williams’s vocals take center stage with his captivating gothic melodic range. Listeners are given a great chance here to appreciate his incredible talent.
The track digs into the turmoils of a one-sided relationship, with lyrics like “strike a match let me burn through the smoke I can finally see that you’ve always been the worst part of me” and “in your eyes it's your time, you could never be the weakness lying seems to be your sickness”. The messaging will resonate with anyone who knows the struggle of realizing you have to be the one to walk away.
At 3:05, the beat transitions into powerful liberation, embodying the feeling of finally letting go - when you release all the things you’ve kept quiet, when you shed the weight you’ve been carrying.
This song was made for driving back roads with the windows open and imagining how it feels to burn it down and leave it all behind. It’s truly the best way to experience it.
