DO YOU FEEL LOVE?

Bringing along President and Beartooth, metalcore band Bad Omens recently kicked off their first arena tour, titled the Do You Feel Love tour, after one of their recent releases. The brisk Minnesota air did not stop Bad Omens fans from flooding the Target Center in Minneapolis on the evening of March 2nd, brimming with excitement to see this band that has quickly risen in popularity over the last two years. After taking a small break after their extensive Death of Peace of Mind tour, Bad Omens has really jumped back in with this large-scale tour, and they have had no issues filling these arenas all over the United States.
Opening the show was the new enigmatic band from the UK, President, who made their debut last summer at Download Festival in Donnington Park, England. Who is President? Well, that's the question, isn't it? Fronted by an anonymous singer, “The President,” who wears a terrifying Richard Nixon-esque mask, this band blends metalcore with electronica influences. Other members wear black cloth masks, concealing their true identities, are known as Heist (guitar), Vice (drummer), and Protest (bassist). Opening their set with their single “Fearless”, the band meandered out to the stage, with the vocalist appearing behind a podium with the band's insignia in red neon light on the front, giving the illusion that he is addressing the audience in a political forum. The reviews from the crowd seemed mixed; some knew the music and sang along enthusiastically, while others seemed bored. Was this out of genuine disinterest or unfamiliarity with the band? That’s a question I can not answer. In a new wave of anonymous and masked bands, it is hard to tell if President will convert the polls to their favor.
Due to issues with the media, press were not able to return and review the rest of the show. There will be no review of Beartooth or Bad Omens.
